Behavioral Targeting

 

Behavioral Targeting is a new hot trend that is reaching all over the wolrd, and has finally reached Norway. What is unique about Behavioral Targeting is that it opens the up for the opportunity to advertise on a new and effective way. Where the focus has traditionally been the campaigns based on websites, Behavioral targeting makes it now possible for advertisers to reach users interested in their products, across sites. Behavioral targeting also opens up for dialogue with the consumer through the decision-making process through to purchase.

- Why Behavioral Targeting is a natural partner to search:
Just about everyone doing business on the Web today use search. You pay rates, click to get visitors to their site with the aim of achieving a sale. If you do not achieve the sales, does it mean when the customer is not interested? - Could it be that the customer wants time to think or to get information from competitors? Or that it rang on the door?
The fact is that only about 1% of the clicks that lead to sales, but that the 99% others are interested. If you had information on who these 99% were and you could follow those up at a later date, would you done that? This is where the Behavioral targeting comes into play.
